Reskilling and Developing New Capabilities
Broad-Based Career Conversion Program (BBCCP)
This programme is aimed at equipping Professionals, Managers, Engineers, and Technicians (“PMETs”), and Rank-and-File (“RnF”) workers to take on manufacturing job roles in the manufacturing sector. The programme also benefits MNCs and SMEs by providing salary support for MNCs and SMEs to help in the conversion.
The target beneficiaries are Singapore citizens or Singapore permanent residents and consist of:
Mid-career workers (including unemployed workers) who are seeking to acquire new skills in, or switch careers to, the manufacturing sector.
Career Conversion Programmes (CCPs) are for mid-career individuals to undergo skills conversion and move into new occupations or sectors that have good prospects and opportunities for progression. WSG offers about 100 CCPs to support mid-career individuals in career conversion.
The Programme is open to all company-sponsored applicants who meet the following General Eligibility Criteria:
- Be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident who is keen to pursue a full-time career as a Manufacturing Associate;
- Have graduated or completed National Service at least 2 years prior at the point of application;
- New job role under the CCP should be substantially different from previous job role;
- Must not be connected to the CCP participating company
- Shareholder of
the CCP company or its related companies; - Related to the
owners of the CCP company; and - Immediate
ex-staff of the CCP company or related entities
Through CCPs’ industry-recognised training, companies will gain a wider pool of candidates to consider when hiring.
- Companies registered or incorporated in Singapore;
- Must be able to offer full-time employment with a fixed monthly salary of at least $1,800 and at least a 12-month employment contract;
- Must put in place a structured OJT that supports the growth of the company for the CCP participant; and
- Be committed to work with WSG and its appointed programme partner on the necessary administrative matters related to the programme.

The BBCCP for SME and MNC Executives helps PMETs to reskill and take on new job roles in MNCs and SMEs.
Newly-hired PMETs will undergo a 3 month programme, which includes a structured On-The-Job Training (OJT) at the hiring company.
