Overview

The Workforce Development Grant Job Redesign (WDG(JR+)) supports enterprises in developing a future-ready workforce through training and upskilling initiatives. It is aligned with Singapore’s national skills and productivity agenda, supported by initiatives from SkillsFuture Singapore and other national workforce agencies.

Through WDG, companies can invest in structured training programmes to improve employee capabilities, productivity, and job performance.

Who Is It For: 

The Workforce Development Grant (WDG) is applicable to organisations in Singapore that seek to develop and enhance workforce capabilities through structured training interventions.

The grant may be relevant to the following:

  • Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and larger enterprises operating in Singapore
  • Human Resource (HR) and Learning & Development (L&D) functions responsible for workforce planning and training implementation
  • Organisations undertaking workforce upgrading initiatives, including but not limited to technical, operational, and digital skills development

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for the Workforce Development Grant (WDG) is subject to the prevailing guidelines and assessment criteria as determined by the relevant authorities.

Applications may be considered from organisations that meet the following conditions:

  • Registered Entity in Singapore
    The applicant must be a legally registered business entity in Singapore in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Employment of Singapore-Based Personnel
    Training must be conducted for employees who are based in Singapore and are on the organisation’s payroll.
  • Relevance of Training Scope
    The proposed training must be directly relevant to the applicant organisation’s business operations and must support workforce capability development, job enhancement, or skills upgrading objectives.
  • Approved Training Provider and Programme Compliance
    Training must be delivered by approved or recognised training providers and must comply with prevailing requirements set by SkillsFuture Singapore or other relevant administering authorities.
  • Compliance with Grant Conditions
    Applicants must comply with all stipulated grant conditions, including but not limited to attendance requirements, documentati

WORKFORCE CONSULTANCY: 

Up to $50,000

Get expert guidance from pre-approved consultants to support your workforce transformation journey. This includes assessing business needs, AI readiness, developing workforce strategies, redesigning job roles, and creating an implementation plan tailored to your organisation.

CAPABILITY BUILDING INITIATIVES: 

Up to $60,000

Support for training HR and line managers in job redesign and change management, helping build stronger internal capability to manage workforce transformation.

HR TECH SOLUTIONS: 

Up to $90,000

Supports adoption of HR technologies such as workforce planning tools, diagnostic systems, and learning & development platforms to enable data-driven decision-making for skills and career development.

(Must be combined with at least one other component)
